Our last day in Florida before heading to St. Mary’s, GA

We have spent the last week visiting with family in Florida. Tomorrow we will drive up to St. Mary’s, GA to spend the next few weeks working on SV Bear. She has been on the hard since early September and we are looking forward to seeing how she has hibernated.

Today, we drove around Port Charlotte collecting materials for our repair marathon – fiberglassing components, Cetol, sanding supplies, and more. When we failed to find everything that we were looking for in the strip mall heaven that is Florida, we put together an order from Jamestown Distributors, which we will have shipped directly to the boat.

We finished up the afternoon shooting 9 holes of golf with Jeff’s folks. Neither one of us play golf regularly, but Jack and Marilyn do, so it gives us an excuse to get some sun and hone our gator hunting skills!
